Historically, indigenous peoples used it for ceremonial and health purposes. Currently used primarily for pulp production and construction, balsam fir does not tolerate urban pollution and therefore is not common in cities, preferring to grow in forests where the air is fresh and clean. The main component of the oil, ß-Pinene, when applied topically in a soothing massage, provides an effective solution for calming the skin. Balsam fir essential oil is extracted by steam distillation from the tree's bark, yielding a distinctively fresh, woody aroma.

Uses
For an invigorating massage, mix two to three drops with Fractionated Coconut Oil.
